Hampton Inn

We have a new neighbor in the county. On February 13, the new Hampton Inn in Kimball held their Grand Opening. County Mayor John Graham and Kimball Mayor David Jackson welcomed the employees and management to Marion County.

MCCM was presented with a generous gift to demonstrate the Hampton Inn’s and Vision Hospitality’s commitment to be an integral part of Marion County.

MCCM welcomes our new neighbor to Marion County and thanks them for their generosity.

When you get the chance stop by the Hampton and meet Krystle Jost,  General Manager and Marti Timmons, Regional director of sales & marketing.

WalMart

WalMart in Kimball has become a regular donor to MCCM. Nearly every Friday we are able to pickup assorted non-perishable items. In January we received 2,908 pounds and in February we picked up 1,454 pounds.

Thank you WalMart!

A reminder to our volunteers: As you unload the WalMart boxes please do not discard them. WalMart recycles and reuses those boxes.

Is your group looking for a project?

As Spring approaches with its promise of warmer weather the grounds around MCCM need some tending and tidying. While we have someone who mows regularly during the warm weather months, we have an ongoing need to pickup trash, fallen sticks and limbs.

In addition, MCCM is housed in a retired United Methodist Church. There is a family cemetery out back of the building that needs regular attention. Many of the families in Sequatchie who have loved-ones buried in our cemetery are elderly and they are very appreciative whenever the cemetery is cleaned up.

This is an excellent project for a youth group, school group, Sunday school class, service club, or business looking for a way to give back to the community.
